From the first design consultation it was clear that this was going to be a fun project! Our clients had recently sold their large family home and were in the process of downsizing to a townhouse.  They were looking forward to a fresh start in a brand new home and hired Sincerely, Lindsay Design Co. to select all new furniture, art and accessories. Their newly built townhome is quite contemporary, with high ceilings and an abundance of windows allowing light to flood in from all angles. We began the interior design process with an inspiration meeting to gather creative ideas and gauge the client’s design wishes for this new chapter in their lives. At this initial meeting, we chose a colour palette of ocean toned hues, ranging from light and airy blues to dramatic injections of teal. We paired this beautiful colour palette with touches of organic, woven rattan textures throughout the home.

In the dining area, we designed a custom built-in wine bar and entertaining area, the perfect spot to host friends and family. The oak toned floating shelves are a great spot to add a splash of colour with curated decorative accessories. The artwork in the dining room is oversized and the vibrant colours are the perfect accompaniment to the woven light fixture hanging above the stunning marble and oak dining table.

The home features oversized artwork throughout as a way to add colour and visual interest in each space. Along with colourful art we used an abundance of textures from layered jute rugs to rattan trays and woven wood light fixtures. The end result is a stunning mix of contemporary touches paired with warm, organic woven textures.

From the first moment we met Lindsay we knew she was the right person to work with. We started with a clean slate after downsizing. Lindsay was so attentive and guided us with professionalism from start to finish. Throughout the process Lindsay listened to us and created a vision that we could not have developed without her. We are so excited about our new space and look forward to working with Lindsay again in the future.
