This executive style home is set high on a hill surrounded by old growth trees in Port Moody, B.C. The clients purchased this house 8 years ago and hired us to help them make it feel truly their own. These clients have a long love affair with traditional design but were looking to us to infuse contemporary finishes and details to make it that much more special. We designed a completely custom millwork package with lit glass cabinetry, stunning corbel details around the range, and a custom millwork hood fan. Every detail was considered with this design, including custom cabinetry inserts for pots and pans, knives, spices and a recycling center. In keeping with the traditional vibe, we opted for a traditional shaker cabinetry profile in a lovely, warm white tone. The hardware adds a subtle touch of sophistication with a combination of classic polished nickel cup pulls and handles. The Carrara marble subway tile backsplash, complete with a bevelled edge, adds a perfect touch of sheen and elegance. The perimeter and island counters are pure white Caesarstone which not only looks stunning but is highly durable and stain resistant. We added the final touch by incorporating oversized polished chrome and white glass light fixtures. This gorgeous traditional kitchen design is one that will truly stand the test of time and will be as beautiful in 10 years as it is today.
